A second season of “Villas” is coming to ABC, the network announced Tuesday.
“Villash” is set to return on April 18 with a new season that will be directed by Alex Gansa and stars “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” alum Megan Boone.
It is the network’s second-most-watched comedy series ever with more than 10.4 million viewers.
“The new season of ‘Villash’ will feature the voices of former ‘Villas’ stars as they return for a new round of the comedy world.
In this new season, the cast reunites for a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek episode featuring a new batch of cast members from the show’s original series, including former cast members Katie and Lauren, as well as a returning cast member who has yet to be revealed.
And, of course, ‘The Villain,’ the iconic villain of the original ‘Villains’ will return for yet another hilarious, unforgettable season of Villash,” ABC said in a statement. “
In addition to a new set of characters, ‘Villastes’ will also have an incredible new cast, including many of the show and its creators, Alex Gensa and Adam Horowitz.

“After a long and successful run, we’re so excited to bring this iconic series back to ABC and to the world of comedy.”
“Villastas” has been an enduring TV hit on ABC for more than a decade.
The show, which aired from 2001 to 2005, included four seasons of the Netflix original series “Gossip Girl,” which aired between 2005 and 2017.
The network also brought back the original series in 2018.
“Crazed Ex-girlfriend” actress and writer Rachel Bloom tweeted on Tuesday that the show will continue on ABC after it ends its run on the network.
“Good news!
‘Villapalooza’ is coming back for a two-season run on ABC,” Bloom wrote.
“We’ve had such a great run, so many wonderful friends and fans.
The cast and crew are really excited to be back on the air.
This season will be our second in a row on ABC.”
ABC also announced it will begin production on a new “Villamania” season, which is set for premiere sometime in 2020.
“You have to be kidding,” “Villapolooza” creator and “The Blacklist” alum Adam Horowitz said.
“It was so great to be able to bring back the incredible ‘Villamagna’ cast.
We’re thrilled that we can bring it back and that this will be the first ‘Villaniamania’ on television.
The next episode will be filmed in New York City!
We can’t wait to show you!”
